Dylan and Cole hosted "Studio DC: Almost Live," a variety show featuring Brenda Song and Phill Lewis from "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody," as well as Miley Cyrus, Ashley Tisdale, Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, and Gonzo, among others. The story focused on the fictional variety show "Studio DC: Almost Live," and the pre-show chaos. Each musical skit featured the human celebrities singing and interacting (and in Miley's case, falling in love) with their Muppet friends.
The show began with Billy Ray Cyrus and Miley Cyrus rehearsing. When their band doesn't show up, who better to step in than Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem? They sing her hit "Girls Night Out," and Miley and Animal (the best drummer ever) fall for each other.
And that's only the beginning. The "Zack & Cody" cast join Gonzo backstage to rehearse a parody of their show called "The Swede Life of Zasha and Codfish"(written by the Swedish Chef). Phill takes the writing reins and makes some changes: He'll attend a handkerchief convention while Kermit takes over as manager of the Tipton Hotel. Gonzo replaces Arwin, London befriends Miss Piggy...
There was plenty of music too. Kermit duets with Ashley Tisdale on High School Musical's hit single "Bop to the Top," which really upsets Miss Piggy who thought she was going to duet with Zac Efron. Instead, she turns to the Jonas Brothers, convincing them that they need a Jonas sister, Joan S. Jonas.
"Studio DC: Almost Live" was created by The Muppets Studio. It premiered August 3, 2008 on the Disney Channel.
