"The Suite Life on Deck" Additional Episodes Ordered!
Additional second-season episodes have been ordered of "The Suite Life on Deck," the spin-off of the hit comedy "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody," for Disney Channel and Disney XD.
Starring your favorite identical twins Cole Sprouse and Dylan Sprouse, "The Suite Life on Deck" ranked as TV's number one series in the kids 6-to-11 demo and number one scripted series among tweens 9 to 14 for all of 2008. The show features the twosome on a semester-at-sea, and the additional episodes will introduce a new character to the mix, played by actor Larramie Doc Shaw (House of Payne).
Gary Marsh, the president of entertainment for Disney Channels Worldwide, said: "With this second-season extension, the cast of The Suite Life makes Disney Channel history by becoming the longest running continuous characters on our air—138 half-hour episodes. We are thrilled for them, and for the brilliant, inspired production team that made this extraordinary run possible."
In addition to its Friday, 8 p.m. airings on Disney Channel, beginning June 15th, encore episodes of "The Suite Life on Deck" will join the Disney XD lineup, where "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody" also airs daily at 7 a.m.
